Meet The Team
Founder & CEO
Kettmann Machining's roots date back to 1983, when Larry was an accomplished machinist working for others. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and decided to open his own shop in Santa Clara Valley.
From that moment on, he was supplying parts as a subcontractor to other machine shops in the competitive high-tech hub of Silicon Valley.
Since the early 1980's Kettmann has grown into and invaluable supplier of precision-machined medical device parts manufacturing in the U.S and for distribution at home and abroad. Larry's commitment is 100% customer satisfaction through the carefully evolved, leading-edge, quality-driven processes.
As the General Manager, Bernie directs all the manufacturing operations through a team of functional managers, supervisors, and leads. Bernie strives to ensure increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and manufacturing equipment. We monitor our quality, cost reduction, and on-time delivery, manufacturing performance, and safety.
Bernie provides leadership for our employees through effective communication, coaching, on and off-site training and development. Bernie manages inventory levels, ensures compliance and safety, OSHA, local and state regulations, and ISO13485:2016. He drives the implementation of capital investments and improvement projects.
